Barney Frank Vs. Dining Room Table

Vermont politics is usually kind of boring, so I sometimes look to other states for political excitement.

The latest tidbit is Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass. is now facing a primary challenge from a dining room table.

Rachel Brown, aka "The Dining Room Table."

Well, not really, but at a town meeting last year, a woman asked why Frank was supporting health care reform, which she said was a Nazi style government takeover.

Frank responded by asking her, “What planet do you spend most of your time on,” and adding, “Trying to have a conversation with you is like arguing with a dining room table.”

The video of the confrontation between Frank the dining room table became an Internet sensation last year:

Well, the dining room table, Rachel Brown, 29, is running against Frank  in the primary. She’s a devotee of the, uh, unorthodox economist and activist Lyndon LaRouche,

It also looks like Frank has the answer to his question regarding the planet on which the dining room table spends most of her time. Brown wants to colonize Mars, so I guess that’s where she spends her time.
