Very Scary Russian Fire

It’s been kind hot this summer in Vermont, but not nearly as hot as many other places. Several countries, in far corners of the globe, including Iraq, Sudan, Pakistan, Finland, Russia, and yesterday, Cyprus, have had their hottest temperatures ever recorded this summer.

In Russia, things are particularly scary. The extreme heat for weeks on end, with temperatures around 100 in Moscow, have caused a big drought, and lots of big forest fires which have killed at least 40 people.

The folllowing video had my heart racing. The film was taken in a car as a forest fire overtook a road. As you watch, you become convinced the people in the car won’t survive. Scary:
