Driving Through a Tornado

You probably saw the news about that tornado in Billings, Montana over the weekend.

The news videos raised a question I have in almost every tornado video I see. Why do so many people in cars drive right by the tornado, with debris flying and wind roaring, as if everything is normal?

 Watch this video as people blythly cruise down the highway while the twister spins next to them, full of debris:
