Animal Kingdom

I came across this sad little drama.

A squirrel had gotten run over and killed by a car and the crows were gathering for a feast on the carcass. That’s something we’ve all seen with road kill on just about every trip in the car.

But here’s something different. The squirrel had a mate that would not allow the crows to defile his friend’s body. Take a look:

Makes you wonder how many dramas, comedies, tragedies and slices of life happen in the animal kingdom every day, unseen by us oblvious humans.

it’s so sad for the squirrel but i think god made crows to get rid of carcasses so they were only trying to do what they were meant to do.

I don’t know, maybe the crows will finally get their dinner, but maybe the world is too big of rush to move on and not willing to take the time to mourn the loss. Even if it’s just a squirrel. Maybe this one has more humanity than we give the little critter credit for. Perhaps we haven’t evolved as far as we think.
